Cherrywood / French Place is quiet, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic, although that is not the case near US Highway 290 or the railway line. On the other hand, there is a fair amount of greenery in this neighborhood as the majority of streets have good tree coverage. It is easy to reach parks in the neighborhood since there are a few of them close by for residents to unwind in. Lastly, although the ambience is not the liveliest in this part of the city places to go out at night are well-distributed throughout the area.
